The 2012 programme of the International Documentary Festival Cinéma du Réel (22 March - 3rd April) is out now!
Besides the INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION, TRIBUTES AND WORKSHOP (John Gianvito, Dick Fontaine, Susana de Sousa Dias, Mario Ruspoli and Raúl Ruiz), the section COMBATANTS (a tribute to the filmmakers who have fought and continue to fight on liberation fronts), RIPRENDIAMOCI LA VITA (with works by Pier Paolo Pasolini, Vittorio de Seta, Alberto Grifi, Marco Bellocchio and the Collettivo femminista), ARRESTED CINEMA (a yearly space to give regular news updates for a cinema confined to resistance) and much much more.

In the 2012 Horse Pistes programme the Centre Pompidou presents a special focus on Flatform, an Italian collective of artists and filmmaker which focuses on the analysis of the moving image, and that has been selected for the 2009 competition of Milano Film Festival. A selection of their works will be presented on Saturday 11th February in Paris.

The 22nd Marseille International Film Festival is going on from 6 to 11 July. The International, French and First Film Competition will present forty films, of all formats, diverse styles, from all over the world, documentaries and fictions films, for the most part in their world or international premiere.
What is at stake is daring to defend the cinema that is being made today, a cinema that is both demanding and vital.
