The Oscar Nominees are in
The nominees for this years Academy Awards have been announced and we are very happy to see the animation short “Madagascar, Carnet de Voyage” by Bastien Dubois, included in the Animation Marathon of Milano Film Festival’s 15th edition.
Among the nominees the amazing illustration of Shaun Tan directed by Andrew Ruhemann “The Lost Thing”.

Milano Film Festival goes to Beirut
Starting tomorrow, the 2011 Human Rights Film Festival organized by COSV will bring attention on specific human rights issues. The four days programme will focus in four vulnerable groups: women, refugees, migrants and detainees.
The event is twinned with Milano Film Festival, that in State (T)error has a pecific section dedicate to the sensitive topic of human rights violations.

Shocking news for Joe Berlinger's Crude
You certainly remember about Joe Berlinger’s Crude, presented in the State (T)error’s section of Milano Film Festival: a powerful and accurate documentary focused on the environmental exploitation committed by the oil firm Chevron in Ecuador.
After a legal battle, the federal judge has now ruled that Chevron will now have use and access to the entire unused footage of the film.
